Frequently Asked
Here are some questions that we get from time to time.
How can I dispose of latex or oil-based paint?
Check local places that take donations (schools, churches, charities, etc.) to see if they will accept paint donations.
If disposal is necessary:
Remove lids if no more than half full.
Set out in a well-ventilated area away from children and pets.
Add kitty litter, sawdust, or sand to speed up drying.
After paint has dried it can be put with household trash.
Are plastic bags recyclable?
Not at our facility. Please recycle materials loosely into our bins and take your plastic bags back to your local grocery store.
Where can I recycle glass?
*Please remove lids and corks from bottles and jars before recycling

What can I recycle?
Many of our residential recycling sites require you to separate materials into different bins. Please look at the receptacle to identify where you should be placing materials.
Commonly recycled items
Plastics #1 & Plastics #2 (only): Water bottles, soda bottles, milk jugs, detergent bottles, etc. (Picture of #1 & #2 recycling symbol)
Paper: newspaper, magazines, poster board (ex. Cereal boxes), paper bags.
Please no hardback books or shredded paper (unless contained in a paper bag).
Cardboard: Flattened
Aluminum & Tin Cans: Cat food cans, food cans, soda cans, etc.
Pour materials directly into the container. No plastic bags, please!
Do I have to sort my recyclables?
When different materials are mixed, it makes it more difficult to sort the materials which increase contamination. Each market has a limit on the types of accepted material and contaminants allowed. These standards have to be met in order to meet vendor requirements.
